Freelancers
Barry is a Musician, Songwriter and Producer who has worked with XTC, Robert Fripp, Iggy Pop and Brian Eno as well as produced 9 original albums with his own group Shriekback. He has created film music for various TV commissions as well as for contemporary dance projects. His songs are used extensively in the Michael Mann film ‘Manhunter’. He is at present working on another Shriekback album.
Evil Twin Artworks
James & Mark Carroll are professional animators who founded evil.twin.artworks with the goal of producing diverse multi-media storytelling techniques for television, the web and corporate clients.
Evil.twin.artworks has been producing multi-media projects for nearly a decade, working for clients on shows such as “The Adam and Joe Show” and Channel 4’s animation weeks as well as animations, websites & presentations for clients such as Dyson, Sony UK and bbc.co.uk.
David Collier
David is currently Assistant Producer on 'My Parents are Aliens' for Granada Kids, for whom he also works as a development script executive. He trained as a writer at The National Film and Television School and has written for the BBC and ITV. His short films have won awards at the Chicago and Munich Film Festivals. David taught screenwriting on the MA courses at the London College of Printing and Goldsmiths and is script consultant for Salisbury College, Create Studios and many UK Film Council First Light projects. He is a graduate from Manchester University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Stuart Hilliker
Stuart began his career at Create Studios working as the Facilitites Coordinator. He moved into sound production and now works at Boom, a sound post production facility in Londons West End. Stuart worked on Aardmans feature length animation ‘Chicken Run’ and has won BAFTA’s for Best Sound (Fiction/Entertainment) for his work on ‘Anna Karenina’ (2000) and ‘State of Play (2003).
David Yates
David is a film and television director who was educated at the National Film and Television School. He began his career at Create Studios where he made his first award winning short film, ‘When I Was A Girl’ through Creates production support scheme. He has worked extensively in British television, mainly for the BBC, helming high-profile drama projects such as The Sins (2000), The Way We Live Now (2001), Paul Abbott's State of Play (2003), The Young Visiters (2003), Sex Traffic (2004) and Richard Curtis's The Girl in the Café (2005) for which he won an Emmy Award for Best Direction in a Made for Television Movie. David is currently directing the fifth Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Phil Ball
Phil is an experienced Cameraman using Super-16mm & 35mm film, digital video, Hi Def, slow motion, time-lapse photography, thermal imaging and Infra-Red under water and on land. His television work has been mainly for the BBC's award winning Natural History unit on an impressive range of programmes including 7 programmes in the Natural world series, British Isles: A Natural History, with Alan Titchmarsh, and the forthcoming ‘Planet Earth’ and ‘Life in the Undergrowth’ Series. His production credits range from ABC Kane in the USA to Granada International and Oxford Scientific Films and The RSPB film unit in the UK working with Presenters such as Robert Winston & David Attenborough and subjects as diverse as HRH The Prince of Wales and the humble Bumble Bee.
Gurchetan Singh
Since 2002 Gurchetan Singh has worked on eight films. He has recently finished "Man out of Time," as Director, Co-writer, and Editor. In 2003 Gurchetan's film "Ned Warking," with support from Create, won Best Screenplay at the Portobello Film Festival.
Danni Landau
Danni is a freelance multimedia artist. He has a wide portfolio of skills that include the use of sound, video and images in his work. He has developed an extensive series of digital stories, working with a variety of organisations including Watershed, Knowle West Media Centre and Create Studios.
Lizzie Minnion
Lizzie trained in drama and worked as a Theatre Director before becoming a Filmmaker. Since studying an MA in Film & Television Production at the University of Bristol (1999), Lizzie has worked as a Freelance Editor and Director. Lizzie also works as a visiting Film Tutor at the University of Bristol.
