ACCESS TO DIGITAL MEDIA

More About Interface

Interface has its roots in Create’s Imaging Festival, a celebratory showcase for the region’s leading creative practitioners, which unearthed a wealth of fresh talent hungry for more opportunities to develop and showcase their work. With Create’s support, this band of hard-core digital activists went on to form the embryonic Interface group.

The programme comprises a series of talks from the UK’s leading practitioners working in digital media designed to:

  • stimulate debate, criticality and production
  • ‘show and tell’ workshops serving as a critical platform for local artists,
  • professional development opportunities,
  • new media studios equipped with cutting-edge facilities,
  • an on-line presence mirroring development and providing space for new and archival content and a range of activities spearheading creative industries development in Swindon.

New facilities include a networked media studio, soundproofed audio studio and control room for sonic experimentation, ‘chill out’ space and a large screening / installation studio, all fully accessible.
