Photoshop Techniques for Photographers

Whether you’re struggling to get going with Photoshop or have taught yourself a few things but aren’t sure if they’re the best techniques, there will be something for you on this course.

You will start with the basic operation of Photoshop and finish with electronic publishing and printing. On the way, you will learn some of the fundamental principles behind digital image post-production as well as a portfolio of professional techniques to make the best of your photographs.

Even though this course is in photographic post-production, please feel free to bring in your own camera.

Tutor

Colin Norwood has been doing photography as a hobby since the age of 13, when his main subject of interest was aviation. At college, he expanded his interests into other areas. Whilst maintaining an interest in photography as a serious hobby, Colin had a long career in computing working in systems support and troubleshooting, and software training. In 2001, he made the bold leap from 35mm film to 35mm digital, and in 2003 formed a photographic business partnership with Glenn Stanley – Your Digitalmemories.

Until the beginning of 2007, Colin was still working as an IT Manager, but Your Digitalmemories was so successful that he decided to go full time. He currently shoots 18+ weddings a year, as well as home sittings, babies, concerts, events, corporate gatherings and so on. He considers himself to be very lucky to have a job that is also a hobby, and thoroughly enjoys every working day.
